Who's Willi? |
To learn more about Willi check out Willi Widdelworth Rooster thought he was King of the barnyard. Why, without him the sun wouldn’t come up at all. He knew that made him the most important animal on the farm. The other animals didn’t agree with him, so he hires a witch to help him prove that he is the King. Willi has an ego problem but a good heart. The witch is a modern witch with a good sense of humor and loves the colors and styles of the 1960’s and 70’s. She helps Willi prove his powers, but they both find out that you have to be careful what you wish for, it may not be what you want at all. ![]() |
Willi Widdelworth Rooster was hatched on the Widdelworth chicken ranch. He, along with a lot of other chickens, were sold to the Beanbottom farm many years ago. Even though the Widdelworth ranch is in another state, Willi has managed to stay in touch with all his cousins on the chicken ranch. They are always glad to hear from him, and are glad he is doing so well. When Willi first arrived at the Beanbottom farm he was just another one of the roosters, but it turned out that the top rooster Melvin Coldwater was getting old and was going to retire from his crowing duties soon. Since Melvin did not have a little rooster of his own to train to take his place, Farmer Beanbottom had decided to have a crowing contest for all the young roosters. It would be up to the animals to decide who would be trained by Melvin, to take his place as top rooster on the farm. Willi, Monroe, and George were the top contenders for the job. It was a very close contest but in the end Willi won. Melvin started training Willi right away in the different ways a rooster crows, and how he was in charge of keeping the chickens safe and secure on the farm. Melvin retired and Willi took over the job. All in all he has done a good job. He sometimes feels that he is more important than he is, but he has a good heart and does the best job he can. George and Willi became best friends, but Monroe rooster never got over losing to Willi and over the years has tried to cause Willi some trouble. Most of the time Willi can just ignore it, but you never know what Monroe might do. All in all, Willi has been very happy being the top rooster on the Beanbottom farm.
