Why are there so many skunks?

A long time ago there were 12 witches living on Skunk Ranch Road. Witch number 1 had a skunk ranch. She raised skunks and trained them to spray their oil into barrels that she kept in her barn. When she collected enough oil she made perfume out of it to sell to the other witches. She added a secret herb to it to make it smell good. The witches loved it and she did a big business for a long time. She called her perfume Skunkola Number 10. She put bells on all her skunks because she would move them up to the mountains in the summer to graze on lady bugs and other types of mountain food, then she would round them up and move them back to the ranch for the winter. By having the bells on them she was sure to only round up her skunks and not include any wild skunks.

All the witches helped with the round up and had a lot of fun doing it. Things went well until one day a witch in another town produced a new perfume. It was called Patchouli oil. No one knew what it was made from, but the witches loved it and soon the Skunkola perfume quit selling. Witch number 1 decided to close up her business, so she let all the skunks free, and packed up and moved to Florida. She became a animal trainer at a big park in Orlando. Maybe some day, when she retires, she'll move back to Skunk Ranch Road.

Because the skunks were trained like pets Lottswella takes care of them. When the new baby skunks are old enough she puts a pretty new bell on them. Now you know why there are skunks in the pictures.
